La Dolce Vita - Islands

There's no need to describe in details how beautiful are the two main islands of Italy, where it's possible to visit many interesting sites:

- Palermo is the regional capital of Sicily. The area has been under numerous dominators over the centuries, including Roman, Carthaginian, Byzantine, Greek, Arab, Norman and Spanish masters. Due to this past, the city is still an exotic mixture of many cultures. Many of the monuments still exist giving the city somewhat unique appearance.

- Cagliari. D.H. Lawrence said about Cagliari: "Strange stony Cagliari … Land and sea both seem to give out at the bay head: the world' end. And in this world's end starts up Cagliari … Lost between Europe and Africa and belonging to nowhere."

- Catania. Catania lies to the feet of the Etna and the ancient town continues to emerge, showing that the volcano hasn't erased it. Embedded between the sea and the mountain, Catania shines 365 days per year.

- Olbia, set in a gulf between the two islands of Tavolara and Molara, is known all over the world as the gate to the Costa Smeralda and it is modern and full of life. Mild climate and beautiful nature have invited people from allover the world.
